It was indeed unfortunate that, due to the closure of the Canadian Scottish Officers’ Mess, we found it necessary to cancel our May luncheon meeting. The topic for the meeting ‘Women at Sea’ had generated significant interest, particularly in light of Cec Berezowski’s controversial article on ‘Canadian Women in Combat’. You will see that he has a follow-on opinion article in this newsletter, which should fuel even more interest in this topic. Many of you expressed disappointment that we had missed Lt (N) Bronwynn Guymer’s talk in May, therefore, we have rescheduled her as our speaker for the September meeting.
