BC Personal Privacy Act (PIPA)

This act effective Jan. 1, 2004 sets out ground rules on how private sector and not for profit organizations can collect, use and disclose personal information about you. RUSIVI needs personal information such as your former rank, name, phone number, residence and Email addresses for the purpose of:

• Maintaining a listing of members as required by the Societies Act.

• Maintaining a mail and Email distribution list for mailing quarterly newsletters.

• Maintaining a phone list to inform members of upcoming events and to provide an estimate of attendance for catering purposes.

You may be assured that your personal information will be used only for the above purposes and will not be shared by any other organization without your consent. These records will also be stored and disposed of in a secure manner.
