Passing The Torch

by Publisher

Enclosed with this newsletter one will find information regarding fund raising for the new Canadian War Museum. The campaign Chairman, General Paul Manson, through RUSI-VI is asking each retired military officer to consider making a personal contribution to the Museum. Funding for this $105.75M project is almost complete. The Federal Government has provided the site and all but $15M. Private donors have given $12.9M to date.

Paul Manson writes “I would like to think that, when the new museum opens on 8 May, 2005, retired military officers will be recognized before the public as a group which cares enough about our heritage to have contributed universally and handsomely to Passing the Torch. That name itself surely calls upon us to do no less.”

Please give this request some serious thought ..... Publisher
